I was in 8th (or was it 7th) grade with Wentworth and I am gay. We went to a cromagnon sports school. He dressed fabulously, and was completely flaming. Everybody thought he was gay. He did not give a toss. However, I have a feeling he is just a metrosexual. If Wentworth were gay, he would probably be very forthcoming about it. I also went to Poly Prep and yes people did think he was gay. But people think many people are gay (or straight) who in fact are not. I wish I could say either way, though its none of my business. I agree with Teddy and his last name is on the tip of my brain. I wish I could rememeber you. Were we in Ms. Seid’s English class together. I do remember Wentworth as being extremely arrogant and self-important. He was (is) goodlooking and bright, but I wouldn’t have wanted to date him, I like nice guys. Also this issue with him being identified as biracial is the most shocking thing I could imagine. I am looking into pursuing a course in Television Production. So I decided to conduct some research on a newly released, successful series. I chose Prison Break due to its authentic set, eclectic backgrounds of the actors, and the popularity it has achieved in a fairly short period of time. In my research, I came upon the Pen15 Club…. it is disturbing to a certain degree the obsession that grips people when it comes to Wentworth Miller!
He is an ordinary man, enjoying his career.It is scary to think that there are youngsters out there who actually openly pen their feelings about hurting themselves if they cannot somehow become a part of W. Miller’s life. Ladies, get back to reality, you’ll be fine.
I too went to high school with Wentworth–Midwood in the late 80s. He was very quiet socialy but was the main star in all the SING student plays–I think they did South Pacific and some other musicals. He sang and danced a lot. I remember him being very “pretty” for a guy with big red lips, blue eyes, and a perpetual tan. He also has really curly hair, which is why, I imagine, they have his head almost shaved down for his acting career.
Intuitively at the time, I felt he was gay or at least effeminate. He only hung out with girls but never dated or had a girlfriend. It sure is strange to see him on TV having known him as a kid.

Ahh, Theodore -Mr. Nadell I presume, you give the outsider’s view of Poly Prep in 85-86. Don’t claim to kmow what you are talking about, since you barely talked to anyone. It was not a “horrible place” nor a “cromagnon sports school”. It’s funny but I remember you having this same attitude back then, and by now I would hope you realize you only get as much back from a place as you put in to it.
As for Mr. Miller, if dressing “fabulously” meant wearing pastel shirts, white pants and a tennis sweater perpetually tied around your neck, then I guess he was fabulous. To me he was just the uber prep in regards to his wardrobe. Teddy was correct about one thing though, Mr. Miller was friends with all the girls, the not so popular girls, but all girls none the less and no he never dated any. As for his sexuality, who knows, but back then it was presumed by ALL that he was gay. The sight of his dancing style at the school’s mixers kind of cemented that perception whether it was valid or not. I can still see him with his hands raised in the air, doing a sort of precursor to Madonna’s Vogue.
